Every full-service project is individually scoped based on the home, project needs, timeline, and desired level of design involvement.

Getting started begins by submitting an inquiry through our website and telling us a little about your project, including your goals, location, timeline, and anticipated investment.

Once your inquiry is received, Olive + Cedar Design will review the project details and reach out regarding availability and next steps. Projects that appear to be a good fit will begin with a complimentary 15–30 minute in-person Discovery Consultation, where we’ll discuss your project, goals, and the level of design support you may need.

From there, clients interested in moving forward will proceed to a paid Project Assessment, which allows us to gather the information needed to develop a project-specific Scope of Work and professional design fee.

Olive + Cedar Design uses custom project-based pricing for our full-service design projects. Because every home, scope, and level of involvement is different, professional design fees are determined after we have had the opportunity to understand the project in greater detail.

Following the complimentary Discovery Consultation and paid Project Assessment, Olive + Cedar Design will prepare a custom proposal outlining your Scope of Work, included services, and professional design fee.

Furnishings, materials, product procurement, and other project-related costs are separate from the professional design fee and are outlined as applicable to your project.

Our 60-Minute Virtual Design Consultation is offered at a fixed rate of $350.

Yes. Olive + Cedar Design can develop floor plans and interior layouts for new construction and renovation projects, as well as review and refine existing plans.

Depending on the scope of your project, this may include developing or reworking room layouts, walls and openings, kitchen and bath layouts, cabinetry, circulation, furniture plans, and the placement of key interior elements. We consider how each space functions individually and how the rooms work together as a whole.

For new construction and renovation projects, these plans can also help establish a clear interior design direction for collaboration with your builder, contractor, and trades as the project moves toward construction.

Not at all. While Olive + Cedar Design specializes in new construction, whole-home renovations, and whole-home furnishings, we also work with clients on individual spaces, including living rooms, offices, bedrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.

Smaller projects may range from a room refresh and design direction to a more comprehensive single-room design. These projects are individually scoped and quoted based on the space and level of design support needed.

For homeowners who simply need professional guidance on a specific design question or decision, we also offer a 60-Minute Virtual Design Consultation.

Your Scope of Work will clearly outline the services, deliverables, revisions, site visits, and level of project coordination included in your professional design fee.

If the needs of your project change or additional design work is requested beyond the original Scope of Work, Olive + Cedar Design can provide additional services as needed. Any additional work and associated fees will be discussed and approved before moving forward.

Additional services may include further design revisions, additional rooms or spaces, added site visits, contractor or trade meetings, new selections, expanded product procurement, or other design needs that arise as the project develops.
